Hello all, this is my first post. I recently picked up a slightly upgraded Ender 5 Pro from amazon as my first printer. I have it set up and after some belt tweaking and bearing adjustment it is printing very nicely. I want to ad the BLTouch, and have the Creality kit labeled for V1 Mainboard. I believe you are correct on how the BL Touch works. I believe it creates a "map" of the bed surface and it calculates the correct distance from the bed based on that map on where to extrude the layer. As far as the start G Code you will need to look in your slicer settings for where this is. If you are just using the slicer that comes with the CR-10 V2 then you should see a tab at the top that shows "Start/End-GCode."

I was wondering if you can help me. I have a Creality Ender 3, and have upgraded it to Direct Drive and have changed my stock fans from the 24v to NF-A4x10, using the buck converter. All seems well but recently I have noticed that practically almost every big print (64 tiny parts on bed) seems to fail with a print clog, it has been driving me crazy as I have changed every slicer setting, cleaned extruder, changed PTFE tube, changed filament and still get the same result....

I just got a CR 10s and when i print the 3D GCODE files that came on the SD card, my print starts right in the middle. When i download a .stl file and open it up in the creality slicer software, the image is in the middle of the table on the screen, but when i convert to a GCODE file, my printer prints each one in the back right corner? What am i doing wrong....thanks in advance!!

The Ender 3 may suffer the same issues that other similar machines do.
Ender / Tronxy & Creality are all rips of each other.... I believe Hicktop are the original manufacturers of this particular i3 generic machine - all sharing the same mechanics.

OK, the issue may be simple to establish.
Firstly, get a STL file for a simple cylinder from Thingiverse.com.... have zero infill, set the layers to 0.2mm height.
Duplicate these for 5 positions on the print bed - so.........

my print quality has always been great and overall love the printer. I recently installed a bltouch so I would have auto bed leveling. first two prints after the upgrade and both have the same print shift issue. the shift is at different heights on the print, but same effect.

I am using the prusa slicer, and octoprint. the only change to the system is the bltouch and of course the firmware update. i can post pics if needed but i assume everyone has seen this issue plenty of times....
